Rice with beans

You will need one or two cups of rice and beans, two medium size pots.
1.) put the two pots in the stove so the water can be hot when the rice and bean are added.
2.) before you wash the beans and rice make sure they don't have little rocks or little things like that.
3.) now that the beans and rice  are clean wash them before adding them to the pots.
4.) the beans will probably be on the stove for about 1hr to 2 hr and the rice for about 45 mins.
5.) after their both cooked you can put them in one plate and mix them. Now you can eat and you can  add some cheese or salsa if you want.

Deviled eggs

 

Ingredients

6 HARD-BOILED EGGS
1/3 cup shredded taco-seasoned cheese OR Cheddar cheese
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup sour cream
3 Tbsp. minced green onions

Directions

1. CUT eggs lengthwise in half. REMOVE yolks to small bowl. RESERVE whites.

2.MASH yolks with fork. ADD cheese, mayonnaise, sour cream and green onions; mix well.

3.SPOON 1 heaping Tbsp. yolk mixture into each egg white half. REFRIGERATE, covered, to blend flavors.

Chef Salad


Ingredients:
  • salad mix
  • ham and/or turkey
  • dressing, cheese, hard boiled egg(optional)

Directions:
  1. wash the salad mix
  2. slice or chop up the turkey/ham
  3. mix together the salad mix with the ham and/or turkey
  4. add cheese, dressing, and/or hard boiled egg if desired

Fast food

There's going to be time where you will be in a hurry bc either you're running late to class or work, so  it will be good to have food that has to be ready in three or two mins.
In this case it would be good to have foods like chimichangas, burritos, frozen pizza, noodle soup etc.
This foods will be in packages and all you will need to do would be open the package and put the burrito etc in the microwave for three or two minutes.

Quesadilla



Ingredients:
  • Tortillas (flour or corn)
  • cheese (mozzarella)
Directions:
  1. on a cast iron preheat tortilla
  2. place cheese (sliced or shredded) on half of the tortilla
  3. fold over the tortilla like a taco
  4. allow cheese to melt
  5. once the cheese has melted it is ready 

Fried chicken

You can buy two or three pieces of chicken. Need a pan and oil. Some seasoning for the chicken or salt.
Procedure: you need to fix the chicken if it was some fat take it off. 
2.) put the pan with oil on the stove, so once the chicken is ready to be fried the oil is hot already.
3.) once your the chicken is clean, add salt or meat seasoning.
4.) now the chicken is ready to be fried, since the oil is hot, the chicken won't take long to cook. 
5.) when the Chicken is nice and cooked you can it with bread or tortillas bought from the store!

Tortilla Pizza





Ingredients
  • 1 whole wheat tortilla
  • 1/4 cup pizza sauce
  • 1/3 cup (more or less) shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Toppings (to your likings)
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Place the tortilla in a 12-inch cast iron pan
  3.  Spread sauce evenly across the tortilla, leaving 1/2 inch around the edges. Sprinkle with cheese and toppings.
  4. Bake for 12-14 minutes, until the cheese is golden and bubbling and the edges of the tortilla are lightly browned. 
  5. Slice and serve.

Scramble Eggs

This can be made with ham, cheese, bacon, mushrooms and some a little bit of milk.
Procedure: 4 or 3 eggs mixed on a plate, add some salt and milk
2.) if you're going to use bacon or ham you need to cook it until ham or bacon is cooked
3.) cut the cheese and mushrooms into small pieces and have them ready so when the eggs are almost cooked you add them.
4.) put some oil on the pan that's on the stove  and do the eggs, then add the cheese etc.
5.) this only takes about three mins to cook, so don't go anywhere, keep moving the eggs with all the stuff so it won't burn. After its cook, eat it with a glass of milk or orange juice.

Grilled Cheese




 Ingredients: 
  • White or wheat bread
  • butter 
  • cheese
 Directions:
  1. Preheat skillet over medium heat
  2. Generously butter one side of a slice of bread
  3. Place bread butter-side-down onto skillet bottom and add 1 slice of cheese
  4.  Butter a second slice of bread on one side and place butter-side-up on top of sandwich
  5. Grill until lightly browned and flip over
  6. continue grilling until cheese is melted
  7. Repeat with remaining 2 slices of bread, butter and slice of cheese.

Lemonade

Squeeze the desired amount of lemon juice into a large serving jar.

Add desired amount of water.

Add desired amount of sugar.

Mix.

Refrigerate for thirty minutes.

Serve.

Entomatadas(tortillas with tomato sauce)

Materials needed
  • Corn tortillas
  • Cheese(queso ranchero)
  • Tomato sauce    
Procedure:
  1. place pan on the stove let warm up then add oil just enough to cover the bottom of the pan
  2. you place the tortilla in the pan with oil, let it heat up on both sides until it has a brownish color.
  3. Heat your tomato sauce in another pan until it boils.
  4. The tortillas that are ready will be fully dipped into the pan of tomato sauce
  5. Place your entomatada into a plate finish it with cheese(queso ranchero) on top and enjoy!
  6. Can also add fresh cut onions and cilantro on top (optional)




Chile




Materials needed:
• 2 tomatoes
• 3 jalapeños ( chop ends off)
• garlic salt (  about 3 pinches)

Procedures :

1. Boil water for about 3 minutes 
2. place tomatoes and jalapeños in a pan until it the tomatoes are soft 
3.  Place the tomatoes, jalapeños and the water  in the blender 
4. Blend it and pour in to bowl 
5. Enjoy !!

Pancakes





Materials needed:
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon white sugar
Procedure:

  1. In a large bowl, pour the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Mix
  2. in the center, pour the milk, egg and melted butter
  3. mix until smooth.
  4. Heat frying pan over medium high heat. 
  5. Pour a scoop of the  batter into the pan
  6.  make sure its brown on both sides 
  7. Enjoy

S'more



Materials needed:
• marshmallows 
• graham crackers
• Hershey's chocolate  bars 

Procedure :

  1. Heat the marshmallow over an open flame until its golden brown
  2. Break the graham cracker in half. 
  3. Sandwich the chocolate between the cracker and the hot marshmallow.
  4.  Allow it to cool down 
  5. Enjoy 

Milkshake




Materials needed:
• ice cream ( any kind) 
• a cup of milk
•a banana 
• cherry 
Procedure:
1. Put two scoops of ice cream in the blender
2. Pour the cup of milk in the blender
3. Peel the banana and put it in the blender
4. Now you blend it 
5. pour in a cup and place cherry on top and enjoy!
Option : could add some chocolate Syrup 

French Fries

Use as many potatoes as needed...




The potatoes are peeled and cut into slices...






A pan is filled halfway with oil and the fries are carefully dumped in...




The fries are ready when they are a very light brown...

Oreo dipped balls


Materials needed:
• Oreo's
• bar of cream cheese 
•meltable chocolate 

Procedure:
1. First you have to pour the Oreos in a ziplock bag
2. Crush the Oreos until they look like little grains of sand .
3. Pour the crushed Oreos in a bowl
4. Put the bar of cream cheese in the same bowl as the Oreos.
5. Mix  both. 
6. Roll the Oreos into balls 
7 . Melt the chocolate 
8. Dip the chocolate balls
9. Put the chocolate balls in the refrigerator until the chocolate becomes hard 

Spaghetti

The noodles are cooked in boiling water...




They are ready when completely soft...




The ground beef is cooked in oil with preferred meat seasoning...






 It is ready when completely brown...






A pan is prepared with oil and salt added in...






The cooked ground beef is mixed in with the noodles (previously drained and rinsed)...






Tomato sauce is added into the mix...






The spaghetti is mixed and served...

Rice Crispy Treats

Marsh mellows before melting...




Marsh mellows after melting for three minutes...




Fruity Pebbles cereal used...




The Fruity Pebbles cereal is mixed in with the melted marsh mellows...




After it is mixed the mix is flattened out and the treats are cut into squares...




Arroz con Leche (Rice Pudding)

Materials:
  • Rice
  • water
  • 1 can of Lechera
  • milk
  • cinnamon stick
  • 1 can of carnation(evaporated milk)
Procedure:
  1. place water into a pot along with a cup of rice
  2. When water is beginning to boil place some pieces of a cinnamon stick.
  3. Until the rice is beginning to soften then pour the lechera in the pot and stir frequently
  4. Add the carnation
  5. add milk (a decent amount)
  6. Stir or else it will burn
  7. When rice is tender and soft it's ready!
  8. Enjoy! Add some cinnamon on top(optional)

Chilaquiles Verdes

Materials:
  • Torillas
  • Tomatillo(green tomato)
  • Chiles(green)
  • Oil
  • Onion
  • Cheese(queso ranchero)
  • Sour Cream
Procedure:
  1. Place the tomatillos 4 to 6 along with chiles 3 to 4 into a pot with water and place it on stove at med heat. wait into fully cooked.
  2. Place torillas in a hot pan with oil and turn into cooked. Make sure it's nice and toasty.
  3. Blend the cooked tomatillo and chiles. Then put the salsa in a pot. Place the pot onto stove at med heat.
  4. Place the toritillas into the pot of salsa while doing that break the tortillas. Let it boil. cover the pot with a lid and let it cook in low heat.
  5. When it is ready you will know because there wouldn't be any liquid of the salsa.
  6. place it onto a plate along with cheese and cut onion on top with a bit of sour cream
  7. enjoy!
